Jeffrey Grove, D.O. understands the importance of being a politically active physician. Dr. Grove has been a generous supporter of OPAC since his graduation from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1990. He is currently a member of OPAC’s McDevitt Circle and maintains strong relationships with members of the Florida Congressional Delegation as well as members of the Florida state legislature.
In 2004, Dr. Grove became the youngest member ever elected to the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP) Board of Governors. He serves currently as the Legislative Liaison and the Florida Society Delegate Chairman for ACOFP Congress of Delegates. Dr. Grove received numerous accolades in his young career, including “Physician of the Year” for the state of Florida in 2003; and in 2004 the Florida Medical Business Award for Physician Political Leadership for Tampa Bay.
“It is absolutely imperative that physicians be involved in the political process. We must use our voice to educate candidates and Members of Congress on the issues physicians face and help elect those that will work to ensure that all patients have access to a physician,” said Dr. Grove. “OPAC provides osteopathic physicians with that opportunity.”
Dr. Grove recently hosted Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL-09) at his home for a campaign event where the physician community discussed key health care issues.
