Endorsed Candidates

As the sole political action committee representing the osteopathic profession in federal elections, The Osteopathic Political Action Committee (OPAC) supports those candidates and elected officials who support America’s osteopathic physicians, students and patients.

OPAC endorses pro-physician candidates for federal office. The decision to support an individual is based on a thorough evaluation of all candidates, taking into account legislative voting records where applicable, positions on key physician issues, responses to OPAC’s candidate questionnaire (for non-incumbents), input from osteopathic physicians in the state or district, the political environment and additional information.

OPAC supports pro-physician candidates in many ways. Most importantly, we ensure the osteopathic physicians in a state or district know where candidates stand on key physician issues that directly affect them and their profession, and that those physicians vote on or before Election Day. OPAC is strongest when our members and other physicians around the country make their voices heard where it matters most – at the ballot box!
